The Shaman is one of Spyderco’s most powerful and reliable folding knives. Now it is also a proud member of the Salt Series, which was specially developed for use in and around water. The heart of the Shaman Salt is its wide, full flat grind blade made from CPM MagnaCut, an exceptional particle metallurgy steel that impresses with an impressive combination of toughness, edge retention, and superior corrosion resistance. The blade is coated with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating that reduces reflections. The handle consists of nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners and contoured black G10 scales. The liners form the basis of the high-strength compression lock mechanism, while the scales are machined with Spyderco’s signature Caribbean bi-directional texture. The pocket clip, liners, and all other parts are also made of extremely corrosion-resistant materials and have a discreet black coating.
