Description
Some knives are the stuff of legend. They have something that every collector has heard of, but only very few have ever seen. The Walker Blade Lock is one of these knives, as mythical as the Chupacabra or the shape-shifters of Navajo lore. Knife maker and inventor Michael Walker is a legend in his own right. His groundbreaking Blade Lock folding knife has now been reissued with modern materials that still retain the classic look of Walker’s original. The pocket knife has a positive locking system that locks the blade in the open and closed position. The mechanism works with a spring-loaded tab behind the thumb stud on the blade. To open or close the knife, you press the thumb stud and slide the blade forward or backward to lock it. With a sheepfoot blade made of 14C28N steel and a stainless steel handle covered with hard-wearing G10 scales, the Walker Blade Lock exudes a charm that no knife fan can resist. Warning and safety information:Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
