Description
Since it was founded in 1981, US company, Spyderco, has been known for using new, higher-performance blade steels. Spyderco is now setting a new benchmark with CPM-SPY27, a powder-metallurgical, high-performance stainless steel developed in close cooperation with Crucible Industries. This steel is comparable with CPM-S-30VN, but is harder and easier to sharpen. It is only used for Spyderco models from the US, all of which can be identified by their distinctive cobalt blue handle. The Para 3 Lightweight was designed as an extremely lightweight pocket knife for everyday and tactical use. The ergonomic FRN handle has the typical bi-directional texture that has ensured a pleasant and secure grip for many years. The reversible deep-carry clip (tip-up/l-r) is a wire clip, reducing the weight even further.
