By utilizing energy-efficient methods of production, coupled with natural and sustainable raw materials, Casström believes this is possible. Today, Casström chooses to use recycled steel wherever possible, wood from sustainable forests, and European vegetable-tanned leather. Casström premises are heated using geothermal energy, and their electricity comes from carbon-neutral sources, taking responsibility for their environmental footprint and will continue to develop their business in this way, seeking to become even more sustainable.

The company is based in the small trading town of Lycksele, deep in the boreal forest of Swedish Lapland. Set by the Ume River, Lycksele is centrally located in the Northern Scandinavian wilderness area and has been a place where people have met and done business for hundreds of years. There is a small showroom in Lycksele and the online shop, yet most sales take place mainly through a network of retailers across the world.
