Description
Over the years, the Helle Nying has received awards for its unique, classic design as well as polarising reactions. Nevertheless, it is one of the most loyal companions on the belt – and has been since 1977. Over a million have been made since then. The handle is generously dimensioned to ensure a secure grip and precise control over the blade. A discreet finger recess ensures that the hand always remains in a secure position – even when working close to the blade, which is made from H3LS (Helle Triple Laminate Stainless), a fully stainless, triple-laminated premium steel developed by Helle. The Nying is a knife for deliberate moments – ideal for carving and lingering. It is supplied in a stylish leather sheath with a flame-shaped cut-out design. A retaining strap grips over the pommel of the knife and secures it reliably. Thanks to the classic Norwegian carrying system with leather straps, the knife dangles loosely from the belt, ready to hand. Warning and safety information:Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
