Description
The KMFS Vantaedge Integral can be considered a pioneer in the manual knife sharpener segment. Developed and manufactured entirely in the Czech Republic, the sharpener is the first of its kind that can reproduce an absolutely precise sharpening image of the knife without requiring the knife to be clamped in exactly the same position for sharpening. The biggest innovation is the reverse kinematics, where the system adjusts the other components of the set based on the exact angle on the knife so that the angle on the knife is always the same regardless of the depth of knife clamping. The set’s grinding system includes a head with grinding angles of 15°, 17.5°, 20° and 22.5°, which are precisely maintained along the entire blade and with every grind. Thanks to the integral clamping device milled entirely from a solid block of aluminum, absolutely precise alignment of the blade, maximum strength and easy clamping are achieved. This is made possible by a double clamping fixture that eliminates unwanted clamping forces and adapts perfectly to the profile of the knife blade. The maximum possible blade thickness is 8 mm; the maximum blade length that can be ground in one clamping operation is 20 – 25 cm. Supplied with a 240, 600 and 1000 grit diamond grinding plate, maintenance oil for servicing and a robust plastic case for storage.Warning and safety information:Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
