Description
Belgian chunks are used for resharpening knives. These are natural stones that are mined in the Belgian Ardennes. Their unique composition allows a fine and material-friendly sharpening. The light-colored layer is used for sharpening, the slate layer on the underside serves only to strengthen the grindstone. For sharpening, the Belgian chunk is moistened. The blade is placed on the stone at an acute angle and removed with circular movements. A natural grinding paste is formed which finely grinds and polishes the blade at the same time.
