Description
Compact, precise and robust, the Peltonen M23 Ranger Cub is designed for demanding outdoor, bushcraft and field applications. Its 6.5 cm blade provides excellent control for carving, woodworking and other detailed cutting tasks while maintaining the versatility required for general outdoor use.
The blade is made from 80CRV2 carbon steel and features induction heat treatment, with a differentiated hardness across the blade. The spine is hardened to 59 HRC, while the cutting edge reaches 62 HRC. This construction combines a comparatively tougher blade spine with a harder cutting edge designed to provide good edge retention and precise cutting performance.
As an uncoated 80CRV2 carbon steel blade, it will naturally develop a patina over time. The blade should be kept clean and dry and maintained regularly to help prevent corrosion.
The black TPV handle provides a secure and comfortable grip while offering the durability required for regular use in demanding outdoor conditions.
The black Kydex sheath offers durable, lightweight and secure carrying, making it well suited to active outdoor and field use.
