The Peltonen M23 Ranger Cub combines a compact, precisely controllable blade with durable components for demanding outdoor, bushcraft and field applications. Its 6.5 cm blade is particularly well suited to carving, woodworking and other detailed cutting tasks while remaining versatile for general outdoor use.
The 80CRV2 carbon steel blade features induction heat treatment with differentiated hardness across the blade. The spine is hardened to 59 HRC, while the cutting edge reaches 62 HRC. This construction combines a comparatively tougher spine with a harder cutting edge designed to provide good edge retention and precise cutting performance.
As an uncoated 80CRV2 carbon steel blade, it will naturally develop a patina over time. The blade should be kept clean and dry and maintained regularly to help prevent corrosion.
The black TPV handle provides a secure and comfortable grip while offering the durability required for regular use in demanding outdoor conditions.
