Description
The Peltonen M23 Ranger Cub is a compact Finnish outdoor knife designed for precise cutting, carving and demanding field use. Its 6.5 cm blade provides excellent control for woodworking and detailed cutting tasks while remaining versatile for bushcraft and general outdoor applications.
The 80CRV2 carbon steel blade features induction heat treatment with differentiated hardness across the blade. The spine is hardened to 59 HRC, while the cutting edge reaches 62 HRC. This construction combines a comparatively tougher spine with a harder cutting edge designed to provide good edge retention and precise cutting performance.
As an uncoated 80CRV2 carbon steel blade, it will naturally develop a patina over time. The blade should be kept clean and dry and maintained regularly to help prevent corrosion.
The Orange TPV handle provides a secure and comfortable grip while offering excellent durability for regular outdoor use. Its bright color also makes the knife easier to locate in outdoor environments.
The Orange Kydex sheath offers durable, lightweight and secure carrying, making it well suited to active outdoor and field use.
With its compact 6.5 cm blade, induction heat-treated 80CRV2 steel, differentiated 59/62 HRC hardness, durable TPV handle and practical Kydex sheath, the M23 Ranger Cub is a versatile Finnish knife for carving, woodworking, bushcraft and demanding outdoor applications.
