Description
The Retract 9Cr18MoV Black G10, designed by renowned custom knifemaker Ed Schempp, is a dynamic folding knife offering exceptional cutting performance. Its most distinctive feature is the dramatically curved, full-flat-ground blade, reminiscent of a Nepalese kukri. Crafted from 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, the negative angle of the blade enhances cutting leverage, especially on draw cuts. The recurved blade is housed in a handle built with fully skeletonized stainless steel liners, peel-ply-textured G-10 scales, and a partial G-10 backspacer. The sturdy liners form the foundation of the reliable Liner-Lock mechanism, machined nearly flush to prevent accidental closure. For low-profile carry and immediate access, the knife includes a lined lanyard hole and a reversible deep-pocket wire clip that supports both left- and right-side tip-up carry. Warning and safety information:Cut injuries: The most common danger when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can quickly penetrate skin and tissue.Slipping of the knife: Improper or excessive pressure can cause the knife to slip, resulting in uncontrolled movements that can cause injuries.Injuries due to falls: Knives should never be left unsecured or near table edges to prevent them from falling and injuring someone.Blunt knives: Blunt knives pose a greater risk of injury as they require more force and can slip more easily. Knives should therefore be properly sharpened regularly.Improper use: Using a knife for tasks for which it is not intended (e.g. as a lever tool) can not only damage the blade, but also lead to accidents.
